Please see below for the continuation of the dialog (between Jeff and
me) on the use of the SWMM-USERS listserver. I agree there is a need for
publicly available discussion of PCSWMM theory, functionality and bugs.
To this end we are setting up a public PCSWMM listserver and searchable
database.

Regarding Jeff's original question, which I described as a problem as it
stemmed from a misunderstanding of the designed behaviour of PCSWMM and
not actually a case of PCSWMM "arbitrarily connecting some of the nodes
as it thinks it should" - although it might just be a wonderful feature
to add (imagine a big button that reads "Design system!").
