Tidal Influences
We are currently undertaking a flood study for a proposed development site.
Anecdotally, the highest water levels occur at certain tidal conditions.
What is the best way to model these tidal effects? i.e. what data needs to be collected, and how does one incorporate the tidal influence experienced by this river reach into the HEC RAS model.
The river in question flows into a larger river approximately 6km downstream, and the sea is approximately 18km downstream of this junction.
Any advice would be appreciated.
