There is an siphon example that is included with StormNET. Look for the directory called "Lesson Siphon" that demonstrates a stormwater siphon underneath of a highway. Make certain you have a recent release of StormNET, which can be downloaded from our website.

The key item is to enter a value for the "Surcharge Elevation" for the junctions on each side of the siphon to account for bolted man hole covers. This is defined in the Junctions dialog.

Losses would have to be defined using the Entrance and Exit Loss Coefficient fields in the Channel and Pipe Links dialog.

If you are modeling using "Hydrodynamic" Link Routing Method in the Project Options dialog, then StormNET it will account for backwater effects due to the siphon flow. You can select this option by selecting Input | Project Options.
