Storage impoundment area

hello. I have a general question regarding dambrk cross section inputting.

When defining cross section geometry through an impoundment area, how does dambrk take into account water storage of the impoundment? In regards to an impoundment area downstream of a dam, and defining the downstream cross sections.

Should the lowest cross section elevation be at the elevation of normal water storage is (since there is no additional flow area below the water surface elevation)? Or should the cross-section take into account the elevations above and under water?

Thank you for your help!

Re: Storage impoundment area

Dear Jennifer :

If you are defining cross section top widths, you need to define the area that you want to treat as storage as "Storage". The remaining area should be defined as a cross section top width.

If you have any additional questions or need any further information, please contact me again.
