A new reservoir!

Dear Chris!

I have another problem with the model. I´m using option 14, so I can use the upstream area. I´m breaking the first dam and the dominoeffect breaks two downstream dams after that. But after these three dams the wave goes into a large reservoir and could break the fourth dam. The big problem is to acculy calculate this breaking because the program error in, sqrt.

I have two models with the same problem, so do I have to cut It in smaller sections?

Best Regards

Fredrik Persson

Re: A new reservoir!

Fredrik :

Note that you can examine the maximum WSEL (water surface elevation) that is reached at the 4th dam. You can then decide to set the "Water Surface Elevation at Time of Failure" equal to or less than this maximum WSEL value. Then, re-run the DAMBRK model and it will then fail the 4th dam.
