Cross sections in an wide area downstream

Hi,

The area downstream my dam is completely flat. My main goal using BOSS DAMBRK is to get the hydrograph for different scenarios. My Range of parameters are close to Crest width =4000ft, breach width =150 to 650 ft. When i was defining the "real geometry of the downstream area" i was getting floating point errors, I defined my cross section downstream close to the "breach geometry" and know it is working. Is that a limitation of the program? Is there any other way I can approach this problem?

Thanks

Re: Cross sections in an wide area downstream

Perhaps the way to approach this problem is define the cross section geometry of what the effective flow area would be, rather than what the flat geometry is. In that way, you can enter a valid geometry into DAMBRK.
