Thank you Chris Maeder for helping me.

After Doing that, i got another error (Non-convergence error at each cross section)
I have cross section data in teh following format. How to enter that (Till now i am ignoring tehnegative data)
x y MSL
0 0 670
0 100 680
0 -100 690

Re: Domain error

Please keep your technical issues within the same message thread.

I do not think you understand how to enter the cross sectional data into DAMBRK. It is entered as elevation versus top width. It is NOT entered as X-Y data.

Also, the cross section top width elevation data should coincide (match) that of the top of the reservoir.

Have you reviewed the example files that have been included with BOSS DAMBRK? It does not appear that you have.

Sincerely,

Chris Maeder, M.S., P.E.

Re: Domain error

Thank you Sir

What i have assumed that X denotes the c/S distance, Y is the top width and corresponing MSL data.
I have gone through all teh problem. Whatever data i am having i think that it is appropriate.

Still it is giving Domain error in SQRT and NonConvergence at each c/s section.

Re: Domain error

You have a problem with your model definition. When BOSS DAMBRK creates the DTF file, it will provide you with a detailed description of what problems it finds in your model--prior to running the model. You can see these error and warning messages in the ASCII text file TRANSFER.LOG that is contained in the same directory as where your DAMBRK DBK model file is saved.

Review this file for what problems BOSS DAMBRK reports. This is the first place you should start in troubleshooting your model.

Re: Domain error

Note that BOSS DAMBRK does not support exporting to JPEG files, but it does support the following file formats:

EPS - Encapulated Postscript
TIFF - Tagged Image File Format
WMF - Windows Meta File
DXF - AutoCAD Drawing Exchange File

Here is the best way to export the graphical results from BOSS DAMBRK. Select the DAMBRK graphic you want to export. Then, follow these steps:

1. From the Graphic Results Menu select Output Graphic Results.
2. From the Output Graphic Results Menu, select Setup Output Device.
3. From the Output Device Setup screen, for the Output Device Number entry, choose 12.
4. For the Output Mode Number, choose 2.
5. Then, press Esc to return to the previous screen.
6. Then, from the Output Graphic Results Menu, select Output To File.
7. Then, specify the name of the file to be exported. It will export out a WMF file that you can easily import into Microsoft Word. The path to the file will be shown to you.

I have included a screen capture of the process.

Re: Domain error

DAMBRK does not directly save to a PDF file. You will need to use Adobe Acrobat or some other form of PDF generator.

The DAMBRK output results are already in ASCII text file format.

Re: Domain error

The model is not running to completion. You might not have defined the inflow hydrograph for a long enough period. If the inflow hydrograph data ends before the model has completed, DAMBRK will stop.

The other option is that the model ran out of time steps during the simulation. Or, you may have limited the total model run in the Boundary Conditions dialog, by defining the value for "Routing Time". This value restricts the total simulation time. Or, the model crashed.

Sincerely,

Chris
