RMS / RiverCAD

We have completed cross section surveys of riverchannel at the downstream of a dam,and do a dambreak analysis using the BOSSDAMBRK. The Terms of Reference said that we have to prepare an inundation map on a topomap, based on the results of the dambreak analysis. How could we do that by utilizing the BOSSRiverCad model.

Thank you.

Re: RMS / RiverCAD

BOSS DAMBRK Professional Version can generate a flood inundation map file that both BOSS RMS (River Modeling System) and BOSS RiverCAD can then read and plot out. When you run an analysis with BOSS DAMBRK, it generates a xxx.FPM (Flood Plain Map) file that both BOSS RMS and BOSS RiverCAD can then import into their Floodplain Mapping Module.

A complete description of how to import and plot out the flood inundation map from within BOSS RMS and BOSS RiverCAD is contained in Chapter 3 of their User Manual.

Please contact me should you have any additional questions.
