Option 13 problem

If I am running a typical "Option 13"- problem, how important is the crossection on the upstream side of the dam for the resulting water stage at that point?

My first guess was that only the reservoir description, inflow hydrograph and the spillways/turbines of the dam controlled the water stage, but then I realized that the crossection might be important too.

Could You please explain how DAMBRK handles this?

Sincerely,

Re: Option 13 problem

Option 13 is a single flow structure with level pool routing. The first cross-section is on the upstream side of the flow structure (dam) and therefore is not that critical to the routing other than defining the location of the structure. The majority of the definition is in the structure definition.

Please contact me should you have any additional questions.
