RE: WSEL overtopping X-Section

Dear Joe Kissel :

DAMBRK extends the sides by looking at the slope established by the last two top-most top- width entries.

WSEL overtopping X-Section

When the Flood wave is higher than the cross sections in the model how does dambreak handle the calculations?

Does Dambreak extend the cross sections vertically?

Re: WSEL overtopping X-Section

Dear Joe Kissel :

Note that DAMBRK extrapolates the top-width when the water surface exceeds that of the top most top-width entry.

If you have any additional questions or need any further information, please contact me again.

Re: WSEL overtopping X-Section

Chris, how does it extrapolate? Does Dambreak extend the ends vertically or does dambreak use the last two topwidths/elevations points and extrapolates a slope of a line to extend the cross sections higher?
