Re: Delineating Flood Inundation Map

Dear Joe Kissel :

Delineating the flood inundation map is best handled with BOSS RMS, which you own. BOSS RMS can read in the results directly from BOSS DAMBRK, and then apply the flood elevations to the AutoCAD drawing. You can do this though importing the FPM (Flood Plain Map) file from the BOSS DAMBRK into the Floodplain Mapping Module in BOSS RMS. Choose Modules | Floodplain Mapping. Then, select Floodplain | Define Floodplain Data. Within the Topo Map Water Surface dialog box, select <Import> and it will then import the BOSS DAMBRK FPM file into RMS. From this data, you should be able to generate a flood inundation map. Make certain that you specify what layers contain elevation data, under the Advanced Water Surface Options dialog box.

Note that the only requirement is that the cross-sections in BOSS RMS match the IDs in the BOSS DAMBRK data model.

If you have any additional questions or need any further information, please contact me again.
