Slow printing

Product: Boss Dambrk
Version: 3.00
Operating System: Windows 98
Memory: 128 meg
Problem Type: Software

Problem Description:
I am having a problem with very slow printing. The program appears to send pages 1-5 quickly and then slows to a crawl. I mean like a page every 15 minutes. I have never been able to print a complete run.

I am operating on a W98 machine connected to a NT4.0 server. The printer is a HP Deskjet 870 Cse conneted to the NT server and is setup on my machine as oss1hp870. It is also setup to capture both LPT1 & LPT2.

Any tips on solving this problem would be helpful.
Thanks

Re: Slow printing

Dear Jeff :

Note that this is what happens when a MS-DOS application tries to print under Microsoft Windows. Windows places such severe restrictions to port access that it limits the speed that we can print. To remedy this, you will need to print the output using a Windows application, such as Microsoft Word.

If you have any additional questions or need any further information, please contact me again.
