Can't start BOSS BREACH!

Dear ladies and gentlemen!

We, the Institute for Geotechnical Engeneering, are using BOSS BREACH for about a half year. When i tried to run the program for the first time in the new year, it didn't start. I installed it on different computers but it was always the same problem. Please can you tell me how to manage this problem.

Dear Mr. Thaler :

Are you running BOSS BREACH on a faster computer than you did before? Does the BOSS DAMBRK program you have operate as well? What operating system are you using? Does BOSS BREACH state anything, is there a flash on the screen? Are you operating within MS-DOS, or Windows? Are you running it full screen? What is different from your computer today and when it did operate? Answering these questions will assist me in determining why BOSS BREACH is not operating on your computer.

Thanks for your quick answer.I tried to start BOSS BREACH on the computer on which i installed it for the first time and on which it worked before in full screen mode. (DX486 - 100 Mhz - Win95) It also ran on a PII433 with Win 98. When i clicked on the .exe - file, the DOS box occured and the program wrote "Loading Breach..." for about a second. Then it wrote "Loading finished!" and i only saw the black DOS box. I was only able to close the DOS window and go back to the Windows desktop. Than i reinstalled the program on these two computers and tried again, the same happened. I also tried on a PI133 - Win95, no sucess. BOSS DAMBRK is still running on all computers we installed it. Is it possible that the harware lock couldt be damaged?

Dear Gunther Thaler :

Either the hardware lock is damaged, or there is a virus on your computer that is attacking the BOSS BREACH program during start-up, and is not able to embed itself into the application--thereby causing the overlay that is being loaded to terminate.

If it not a virus, then you will need to return the hardware lock to us. We can ship you a new hardware lock to you immediately, if you would cover the DHL shipping charges. You should perhaps also check the BOSS DAMBRK program to make certain that this program is running as well.
