DAMBRK Puzzle

Chris,

OK, here's an interesting one. We have two copies of DAMBRK. One is the Professional Version (which I have) and one is the Standard version (on someone else's computer). The same model that runs on the Standard Version computer will not run with my Professional Version. Same file, same everything. Mine crashes out with nonconvergence almost instantly while it runs through on the other computer. Other files from the standard version computer will run on my computer (we tried them); it's just this one that is giving trouble.

Any thoughts as to what may be causing this?

Thanks,
Eric.

Re: DAMBRK Puzzle

Dear Eric :

Got me stumped. I have never seen this occur before, although the 2 engines use different compilers and therefore different math libraries. It is possible that for one of the engines the math library "just sneaks by" with a reasonable value, and the other one does not.

If you have any additional questions or need any further information, please contact me again.

Sincerely,
