Dear Doug :
I have answered your questions as follows:
1) To export a DXF file, you treat the DXF file as an output device. You need to configure the output device driver number and mode number for DXF files in the Output Device Setup input screen. These numbers are listed in the online help. You can use these numbers: 1, 1 or 1, 2
2) Note that the critical depth warnings will occur at both user defined and interpolated cross-sections. You need to determine for how far a distance these warnings are and whether it is for the entire simulation or just a piece of it. You can also change the subcritical / supercritical option to "lock down" the critical depth locations a bit more and that can help.
3) You should use the expansion and contraction coefficients; you need to account for additional energy losses as the flow travels downstream.
If you have any additional questions or need any further information, please contact me again.
Sincerely,
