Editable object Layer using VB6

I have a problem on editing layer (TAB object) of MapInfo using VB6. I had use a Picture box and place the hwnd of mapinfo on it in order to view the mapinfo. The Layer of tab that i opened doesnt allow to edit it (read only). How can i make it editable? Please anyone help me solve the problem.
