very small time step

Hi!!

I want to do an EPS of a valve closure event in a reservoir-pipe-valve configuration. The event lasts 21 seconds and the hydraulic time step is 0.017 seconds (these are real values from my experiments). I am not sure how to input these time values in EPANET since in the Browser's times options the time-steps must be given in hrs:min, or decimal of hours.

I tried to input 0.0058 for the total duration time and 0.00000478 for the hydraulic time step but it does not give me reasonable results. I think that he gets confused with the decimals.. However, when I input 21:00 for total duration and 00:17 for the time step I get reasonable results. Of course this is not what I want; since I want seconds and not hours.

Does anyone know what I could do??

Thank you SOO much
Angelina
