Routing Runoff interface file flows with Transport

Dear SWMMers,

I've been working with a Runoff block model in 4.4H which produces valid
results that appear to be correctly saved to the runoff.int interface
file. When I try to run Transport to route the runoff block flows for
the node 'outfall' through a pond, Transport terminates normally, but
appears to be using zero values instead of the time series from the
interface file. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PPS: The pipe in Transport is only there to link 'outfall' with 'pond'.
It is not required or desired for my simulation. I couldn't find any
other way to link the two elements, such as with a dummy channel.

Re: Routing Runoff interface file flows with Transport

Gene,

One problem with your data set was the use of the $NOQUOTE option.
Extran in particular has been know to behave erratically when that
option is used. The main problem with your data input, however, was the
B1 line which had the number of time steps (the NDT parameter) set to
zero. This was your B1 line:

* NDT NINPUT NNYN NNPE NOUTS NPRINT NPOLL NITER IDATEZ METRIC INTPRT
B1 0 0 0 0 1 0 0 4 0 0 0

Thanks; that did the trick. I was under the mistaken impression that
the NDT on the B1 line was ignored if inputs were read solely from an
interface file.
