Continuous modelling with snowmelt

Hello all SWMM-users!

I have a problem with a runoff file of mine, which involves a very
simple model (6 subcatchments, no channel). I'm trying to use long-term
rainfall data, as well as daily MAX and MIN temperatures, and I've tried
to model snowmelt. The problem arises when the program tries to read the
D1 line. An error message saying that it tried to read it, but found the
F1 line instead appears. I guess that the error must be somewhere in the
C lines. But I can't seem to find where. I've carefully looked at each
parameter, I've gone through the Q&A on the web, through the manuals,
and honestly I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

Re: Continuous modelling with snowmelt

Alexander -

The C2 line is mandatory. If you restore the one you've commented out,
it runs for me in SWMM44H. It gets past the control lines, but then
fails because you haven't entered I1/I2 lines for each catchment.
However, the I1/I2 parameters I entered are for an English units model,
so they'll need modification to be sensible. I also converted added
back in the EPA-format headers - I presume you're using PCSWMM.

Re: Continuous modelling with snowmelt

Whaow, thanks very much!

I though I'd tried adding and removing some C lines to see which was
mandatory, but I guess I must have just missed that one ( as is usually
the case)! I got a nice error message then from not inputting my I lines
:

"===> A @#$!@#@ error in your input was found,
the simulation will end for the following reason.
0$$$$$$$$$$ SIMULATION STOPPED DUE TO Error(S)IN SNOW MELT INPUT DATA
GIVEN ABOVE."

Well I'll now remember to always put in my I lines, that's for sure! And
thanks for the info about the I lines too! I've now replaced the C2
line, put some parameters in the I lines, and it works fine!

Alex.
