ArcView 3 Spatial Analyst Scripts for Estimating subbasin width a nd slope

Is anyone aware of free, public domain ArcView Avenue scripts (or other programs) that compute slopes and width parameters for input to SWMM RUNOFF from detailed elevation data in DEM format?

SWMMTools computes a width based on the dimensions of the watershed boundaries. CDM has developed tools for specific projects that compute length-weighted slopes and flow lengths from which a width can be computed (PlanteTools) though these aren't highly developed or documented and aren't available for public use.

Thanks for the input.

I was under the impression that SWMMTools is a downloadable ArcView Extension from the ESRI's ArcScripts page. If you have the Spatial Analyst Extension, the slopes can be calculated from ESRI's Hydro extension which is free and downloadable. Dr. Maidment's GISHydro page (http://www.crwr.utexas.edu/gis/gishyd98/GisHyd98.htm) also provides a utility called PrePro for DEM-based terrain analysis. Finally, you might want to try COE's Geo-HECHMS ArcView 3.x extension at http://www.hec.usace.army.mil/softwa...s-geohms.html.

Remember, most of the above Avenue scripts or extensions work with ArcView 3.x only. Avenue programs do not work in ArcGIS 8.x and ArcView 8.x which require VBA scripts.

Although not SWMM-specific, this site has some nice tools for computing
the watershed parameters you described.
