SWMM4.4h groundwater fixes

Briefly for those who use the Runoff groundwater routines and since the wonderful SWMM5 doesn't have these yet:

There were problems in the sequencing of H1 plus H2-H4 line input. To work right, any groundwater subcatchments had to be the first group entered, with no gaps and with a limit of 100. This has been fixed so that the groundwater subcatchments can be entered as needed, in any order. In addition, I've added some additional water budget variables for groundwater output time series. The updated release is on my web site.

Re: SWMM4.4h groundwater fixes

Is there a timeframe on when a groundwater routine will be added to SWMM5? Would it be possible to write a custom groundwater subroutine that could link to the new SWMM DLL?

Re: SWMM4.4h groundwater fixes

Shawn,

There are multiple ways for you to import a GW time series into SWMM 5. One way would be to have external files for each groundwater node that want to connect to the watersheds in SWMM 5. Here is a example that will bring in a flow time series to a watershed called Shawn.

"GW Time Series Data for Watershed Shawn
Name Date Time Value
01-01-1988 00:00 0.00000
00:06 0.50000
00:12 1.00000
00:18 10.00000
01:24 50.00000
12:00 10.00000"

You can do the same with any external time series (for example, an RDII time series or a time series from HEC-HMS or TR-55). There will be other methods for importing time series in SWMM 5 - this is just the one I am most familiar with right now.

The GW routine in SWMM 5 is still under construction, BTW.
