Modeling Inlets using SWMM5

I wonder if anybody know how to model Inlets on the streets that are connected to the sewer using SWMM5

In other words can I model Street network and sewer network at the same time.

Sorry I am a biginner on SWMM

Thank you so much

Re: Modeling Inlets using SWMM5

The inlets you mentioned are receiving surface runoff only?
if so, just creat a node (or say outlet in terms of a watershed/sewershed) and assign a drainage area for it.
then this node will receive runoff from the results of surface runoff calculation and route this runoff to your hydraulic system.

If the inlets you are talking about recevie both surface runoff and municipal sewage, you need use either a time-series or external file to input the sewage flow to the system.

of course, you need define the drainage area first before running the model.
