Input of time series.

dear folks
i am totally to new this realm of modeling and so to SWMM.
i am trying to input rainfall as daily average into the model.
so here is the problem:

when i try to put hourly rainfal then it works fine.
but when i try to put rainfall as daily average by putting into the date and the rainfall then it gives some error.
also i have the data as Excel sheet, please let me know how to use that as the input file.

You should attach a reduced version of your input file so we can see what the problems may be in the reading of the rainfall time series.

Usually in the world of SWMM modeling we use 1 hour or less rainfall intervals (the smaller the better!).
