How to model a Valve

Is it possible to model a valve in EPA-SWMM? I need it for a pipeline system where most of the lines are partially filled. But there are some Tanks in the system that are connected with pumps and Valves to the rest of the system. Is pump type 4 suitable to simulate a valve? if it is, how?
