Focemain simulation with SWMM5

I’ve been trying to carry out hydraulic simulations of a sewerage that consists of gravity sewers and also of a pump station at the end of the gravity system followed by a forcemain link which, finally, transport the sewage to the wastewater treatment plants.

At present I’ve been using EPA SWMM5, but along the forcemain links I saw myself forced to increase ground elevations at nodes in order to the nodes not to flood due to the pressure head in the force main.

My question is if is there an alternative procedure to simulate that kind of system with the SWMM5? Or if not, if is there a software able to do so?

Thanks!

Surcharge Level

Hi,

You can also use the surcharge level to simulate pressurized pipes. You can edit the input field to change all of the surcharge levels to a large value and leave the ground elevations alone..
