Export EPA SWMM 5 nodes to GIS

Does anybody know how can I export the nodes from EPA SWMM 5 to GIS shapefile format ??

two approaches i can think of:

1. Copy the node x,y coordinates from the SWMM5 *.inp file to MS-Excel. I think there is tool in arcgis to create shapefile from x,y values.

2. the node x,y coordinates from the SWMM5 *.inp file can be read using autocad lisp programming; then from autoCAD, it can be exported as a shapefile.

Or somebody might already have created a free tool to do this.
