OTTSWMM

OTTSWMM output file, MAJOR SYSTEM, summary of simulation results. Can anybody explain how OTTSWMM calculates max. capture for max. flow at one street segment. I know the relation "approach flow - inlet flow" for the inlets (catchbasins) at this street segment.

Thanks,

Re: OTTSWMM

If I understand the program correctly. Flows captured are calculated by street segments. The maximum flow is the peak flow at a street segment before any catchbasin capture. Using this maximum flow, the amount of approach flow per catchbasin can be estimated by dividing the maximum flow by the number of catchbasins for that street segment. Using the approach flow per catchbasin, and the catchbasin capture curve that you specified in the input, the captured flow per catchbasin can be interpolated.
