Street Storage to Prevent Combined Sewer Surcharge

I am in the process of researching literature that cites the use of street storage to alleviate surcharge and flooding in combined sewer areas. For projects of this nature that we have completed, we have utilized SWMM for analysis purposes.

Please let me know if you are aware of any publications that touch on this topic or locations where projects of this type have been implemented. This information is being gathered in connection with a report we are preparing for the USEPA regarding the potential use of street storage as a control measure for combined sewer overflow and surcharge.

Thanks,

Mike: the classic example was written up by Stu Walesh, Valparaiso Univ. in the early 1980s.
