XPSWMM 32

I do not know how to set up a file containing specific rainfall data. Basically the purpose is to set up a file containing a ten year storm for our region. Once the rainfall file is created, can it be changed after it is implemented into the simulation, rather than creating another file and having to change the file name at each catchbasin?

Re: XPSWMM 32

Actual Rainfall Storms or Design storms can be entered in the global database for any .XP file. The command is SWMM=>Global Database=>Rainfall Then enter a name for the record and select add. After creating a record edit it for start date and time. Select Constant Time Interval and enter the data as Intensity or Depth. A hyetograph can be used which describes the shape and appropriate factor and time step is used to create a storm of a given depth and duration. If this record is selected for a group of nodes then editing it in the global database will effectively change the rainfall for all the nodes to which it is attached.

Please contact me should you have any additional questions.
