European date format convention and SWMM internal computations

Hello SWMM-USERS,

Does anyone know if the operating system date format settings have any effect on the internal calculations of SWMM. I don't think it would, since I believe SWMM code does not use date type variables (they are a relatively recent feature of most compilers). However, I would like some reassurance.

An example of a potential problem is the European habit of using day/month/year instead of month/day/year. Though why everyone doesn't use an orderly year/month/day hour:minute:second is beyond me.

Sincerely,
Rob James
