extran scratch files

Hello,

I have been bungling around the FORTRAN code of SWMM over the last week or so. I think I understand how the main program interfaces with the other subroutines. However, I have some problem understanding how the scratch files are used. This iis in specific reference to the EXTRAN subroutine. Also, the notation used is a bit confusing. Would appreciate any advice

take care and God bless

RE:extran scratch files

Dear K.T.

In extran version 4.4 it looks like there are five active scratch files:

NSCRAT(1) is unformatted and saves information for printout in subroutine output. The file is written in subroutine transx.

NSCRAT(2) is unformattted and saved information to the Hot-Restart file. This is also written in subroutine transx.

NSCRAT(3) is both formatted and unformatted at various times and it also is used for a summary table.

NSCRAT(4) is unformatted and saves information in subroutine indat1 dealing with natural channels

NSCRAT(5) is formatted and saves information dealing with a new subroutine tidefile
