hms error

hi!

i´m working with hec hms 3.1.0 and setting up a precipitation runoff modell with three subbasins for every junction. and now when i try to start the calibration and change the control specifications i come across the following error:ERROR 41200: One or more outflows from element "Rabland schnell" could not be found. Outflows were needed as inflow to element "Rabland Pegel".

apart from that i also come across:
ERROR 10000: Unknown exception or error; restart HEC-HMS to continue working. Contact HEC for assistance.

does anyone know more about it?

thanks ines

Re: hms error

Try holding down the control key when you click the compute button. The control key forces the program to compute all calculations. The program does not actually compute all calculations if no changes have been made to the model. For some reason the program did not think the program changed after you modified the control specifications.

HEC-HMS Error 10000

Hi

I'm working with HEC-HMS 3.2 and attempting to enter time-series data for a precipitation gauge. However, the table option which would allow the user to enter data manually cannot be activated when the required time window is selected. On trying to attach a DSS file instead and run a simulation, the following error is created.

ERROR 10000: Unknown exception or error; restart HEC-HMS to continue working. Contact HEC for assistance.

Also, once the Time-Series Data component is selected, other components cannot be accessed again unless the program is closed and re-opened.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks
LYP

I received the same error but seems like this is a memory issue. This problem can be resolved by changing the HMS program settings within the Tools Menu under the "Results" Tab. Check minimize amount of memory used box.

Error message about missing outflow

I am using hms 3.3 and suffering from the same error message as quoted below. Pressing 'control' during computation didn't help. Any suggestion will be highly appreciated.

I think this is not a memory issue. I'd guess it is a problem related to the Windows Vista environment. Has anybody found a solution to the problem? (I mean, to run HEC-HMS in Windows Vista).
