Help With Paired Data

Hello,

I am trying to load a delmarva unit hydrograph (we use it here in NJ) in to HEC. I discovered how to manage DSS data not too long ago and was able to convert the hydrogrpah from spreadsheet to file. I loaded the file in to my paired data for HEC-HMS and when I simulate it stops at 50% with the following error message:

ERROR 42360: Could not load unit hydrogrpah "Delmarva" for subbasin "Subbasin 1"

If anyone is aware of a possible solution to this I would appreciate.

Re: Help With Paired Data

Hi,

Have you tried to use the Manual Entry tool available on HEC-DSS to input your paired data?

yes i can get the data manual, but the ordinates for my data are at incriments inconsistent with the choices in HEC. I cannot extrapilate because the Y portion of the pair is non linear.

Re: Help With Paired Data

Well,

I'm not sure if I understood your question, so excuse me in advance if didn't answer the way you wanted to.

For Unit Hydrograph paired data (curvers data) HEC-HMS only accepts instantaneous velues (INST-VAL). Please double check Table 17, page 79, chapter 5 of the HEC-HMS 3.1.0 User's Manual. Therefore, your Unit Hydrograph must be configured as stated in the Manual.

Another problem may be how the C-PART in your Unit Hydrographic was specified.

Please double check the above mentioned page.

Hope that helps.
