HEC-RAS and Tidally influenced reaches

Dear Users,

I am relatively new to HEC-RAS. I am tasked with modeling a small flow-thru marina which loops off a river and reconnects a little closer to the rivers mouth. The Length of the marina is probably no longer than .75 to 1 miles. My question is this. I need to prove that the marina will hardly dissimilar to the main river hydrologically. My quandry is that being so close to the mouth of the river the marina and the river itself are influenced heavily by the tide. Can something like this be done with HECRAS. I believe it can but I am having problems finding direct studies using HECRAS in similar situations. Any help/feedback/online references, would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Steve

Re: HEC-RAS and Tidally influenced reaches

Dear Steve,

My Compliments.

I would appreciate knowing whether you got an answer for your problem. It is a similar question I have but using HEC RAS for a channel network including an estuary as downstream boundary condition.

My best regards.
