"TIN Environment" Error in GeoRAS

Hi users,

When I run the postRAS utility in arcview, I keep getting an error message that reads "Can not initialize Tin Environment (TIN_OpenTin)". This happens after I try to execute the 'WS TIN Generation'. I get to select the WS elevation that I need and then it crashes with the message that I mentioned before.

Hope someone knows something about this!

Thanks.

Re: "TIN Environment" Error in GeoRAS

The error you describe is caused by having too many TIN models open in your Arcview session. There is a maximum of 15 or 20 TINs. If you have many flows that you need to model, I suggest that you split them up in different Views or if this doesn't work, diffrent Arcview Projects. I generally limit each run through the Post Ras menu to 5 flows. If you run through the whole process (including velocity etc) you will generate about 2-3 TINs for each flow.
