Warning Message

I recently ran CHECK-RAS for a model I am working on. The model is not for a FIS. It includes several profiles (2, 10, 50, 100, 500-yr flows) but no encroachments. When reading through the Structure Check Report from CHECK-RAS, I received the following message at all of the bridges:

RS: ______ This is Single BR
BR TF 01 Type of flow is UNKNOWN.
CHECKRAS can not find MxLoCd or MnTpRd elevation
or the given conditions do not satisfy the type of flow
specified in the CHECK-RAS program.
Please review the ground and road data, and
encroachment stations. or please review the messages,
BR LF 01, BR PF 01, BR PF 02, BR LW 01, BR PW 01 for
bridges to determine the type of flow.

The MxLoCd and MnTpRd are listed in a table in the Structure Check Report just above the warning message. None of the warning messages (BR LF 01, BR PF 01, BR PF 02, BR LW 01, BR PW 01) are found anywhere in the report. There does not appear to be anything out of the ordinary happening at the bridges.

Am I missing something? Is there anything I can do to address this warning? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Warning Message

Joe:

CHECK-RAS is known to have a few bugs in it (it is still considered "beta"). It sounds like it is having trouble with your HEC-RAS bridge data.

Note that the current release of CHECK-RAS (version 1.1) can check only the steady flow files. It will not extract data if the HEC-RAS geometric file includes lateral weir. It cannot check any split flow structures.

So perhaps if you have this type of data defined, it is causing the problems you are running into.
