error importing HEC2

Hello, I'm new around here so please be kind if this question has been asked a million times.

Where can I find a list of the error (run-time and other) codes for RAS? I'm importing a HEC-2 file into 'RAS 3.0.1 and it crashes and gives me a Run-time Error '9'. Subscript out of Range. It runs fine in HEC-2.

Any ideas?

I may try reloading 'RAS onto my machine again just to make sure that the program hasn't been corrupted.

Thanks

Duncan:

Can you send me your HEC-2 file so I can see what might be causing HEC-RAS problems?

Re: error importing HEC2

Duncan:

You are correct, HEC-RAS does fail on this HEC-2 file. However, I was able to successfully import into RiverCAD and run the model. RiverCAD is a bit more robust at importing HEC-2 files.

I was able to run both HEC-2 and HEC-RAS on your data set. If you want, I can get you the working HEC-2 file that will import into HEC-RAS or the HEC-RAS data.

Re: error importing HEC2

Imprting HEC-2 into HEC-RAS.

I recently imported HEC-2 into HEC-RAS & noticed alot of errors. I
don't think there is anything wrong with your HEC-RAS program, but
rather it's the imperfevtion in the import procedure. I noticed that
with bridges & culverts for example, the distance from the bridge deck
will be converted to 0 in HEC-RAS and I think there are more errors. I
also notice the 100 flow input was 3 times higher than the original
HEC-2 input.
