Flow Data

Can anybody tell me where I can get the 100 year flow data for a river? Does the USGS or NOAA or FEMA or anybody else have it? If you could help me out, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Re: Flow Data

The USGS publishes that sort of stuff in different forms. We use a Water Resources Investigations book that was published for our state by the USGS. You might check and see if the same has been done for yours. I would expect so.

You can also check the USGS website for Gage Station data. We use that sometimes. It depends what river you are on though. If there is a gage on your river it may not apply to your location.

Re: Flow Data

You could develop it from USGS gage data - maybe a Log Pearson Type III
analysis.
