Truncating a river reach

I am trying to truncate an existing model to narrow the scope. How do I delete existing river stations? Thanks for the help.

Re: Truncating a river reach

Dear Lance :

Here are the steps to truncate an existing river reach, by removing cross sections from a river reach:

1. From within the HEC-RAS Geometric Editor, display the Cross Section Data Editor.
2. Select the cross section that you want to delete, by making it current in the Cross Section Data Editor.
3. Select Options | Delete Cross Section. HEC-RAS will confirm with you that you want to delete the current cross section.

If you want to shorten the river reach in the Geometric Editor, here are the steps:

1. From within the HEC-RAS Geometric Editor, select Edit | Move Object.
2. You will see the river reach represented with dots where there are vertices defining the river reach path. You can then click and drag the
river reach vertices about.
3. Select Edit | Remove Points in a Reach or SA to remove vertices along the river reach. You can then click to remove vertices from the river
reach.
