Hydrograph Output Interval affects shape of plots

I noticed a problem in HEC-RAS 4 beta: changing the “Hydrograph Output Interval” in the unsteady flow analysis results in a major change in the shape of the flow/stage plots of storage areas and inline structures.
My feeling is that it’s a graphical bug, but I’m not sure.
I attached an example: to graphs comparing flow and stage at two different Hydrograph Output Interval. Otherwise both runs a identical.
Has anyone encountered this?
Thanks.

Re: Hydrograph Output Interval affects shape of plots

I think that's not a bug.

Hydrograph output interval should be adjusted due to major interval of input hydrograph. Let some example:

If input hydrograph has major unit 1hour, and it is noticed between 01:00AM JUL/31 - 12:00PM AUG/04, you're gonna need 120 ordinate points. If you adjust hydrograph output interval on 2 hour, your output hydrograph interval, after unsteady flow simulation, will be presented in 60 ordinate points.

Re: Hydrograph Output Interval affects shape of plots

Thanks for your input hydro_serbia. I checked the issue again and found that it is a problem after all.
-The hydrographs for lateral structures and storage areas simply do not display the entire data, although the X axis span the entire run.
-The data in the summary output tables is correct.
-The hydrographs of cross sections do not suffer from this problem.
