Stable channel design(Hec-Ras3.1.3)

Hello I'm Gokhan,

In stable channel design, how does hec-ras calculate the grain size of side slope?

I'm so glad, If you inform me about this.

Good days...

The grain size on the side slope is calculated the same way as the bed slope, only a reduction factor is applied to the critical shear stress. That is, it takes less shear stress to mobilize a given grain size on the side slope than an equivalent size on the bed. The reduction factor is a function of the side slope and the angle of repose of the grains. See Chapter 12 of the Hydraulic Reference Manual for more information.
