HEC-Ras sediment analysis

I try to make sediment analysis for reservoir experiment and i solve it at first with steady flow and it give good results but when i try it as quasi unsteady flow and but sediment data and run it I found the following error:
Object Variable or with block variable not set.
please can any body help me to know what is this error

Re: HEC-Ras sediment analysis

That means that you didn't input data correctly. Probably your times in Run window and in Edit quasi-unsteady window do not correlate.
First input start and end time in Run sediment analysis window, then save that plan, then in Edit quasi-unsteady flow window check this option: Use simulation time.
Then input your flow and other data in correct time frame.

Re: HEC-Ras sediment analysis

This is a different error then before?

Try changing your settings to English(US) in control panel. HEC-RAS doesn't work with other regional settings than American.

In HEC-RAS users manual (chapter 17) you have detailed explanation of sediment transport analysis. Try controlling your input data step by step from there and you will probably find the reason why he responses as error.

Re: HEC-Ras sediment analysis

Hi! i have the same error '91' when trying to compute sediment analysis. Did you find the solution? thank you.

Re: HEC-Ras sediment analysis

I just send to HECRAS one file to check and they reply to me with the following:
This error has been fixed in the new version(it should be published by the end of this month). It is the result of the
fact that your quasi-unsteady flow file has no temperature data and the flow series and stage series are not long enough to cover the computational window
so now you can solve the problem by adding temperature data and making your flow and stage series longer.

there are two things u should check first add temperature and secondly increase time steps and hope it's working finally review ur data

It worked

Thanks a lot. I was not entering the temperature data at correct place. I was enetering it in the water quality data option.
Thanks a lot again. one more thing, I received mail from ec ras itself ( they are very quick and efficient) for the same querry. they said to download HEC RAS 4.0 (I was using HEC RAS 4.0 beta uptil now.)
