HECgeoRAS and ArcGIS 9.2

Hi,

Was told me to try hecgeoras 4 with arcgis 9.2 to obtain the flood inundation mapp, following the steps of the tutorial on using the hecgeoRAS with arcGIS 9.2.

I could do everything, except the last step- RAS Mapping|Inundation mapping|Floodplain Delineation.

In this step, the program give me an error...says that it can´t do the grid of my water surface TIN... and i don´t understanding why... the grid of my MDT and the RAS Mapping|Layers Setup have the same rasterization cell size...and the path names of directory has short names...

Can anyone me give a help?

Thanks.

Regards,

Fernanda

Hi,

I had the same problem and in my case, it xas just a georeferencing problem. the coordinate were out of bounds fron the projection system I'm using. So you should verify the georeferencing of your tin or grid.

If it is not properly done, then start a new project, create a shapefile from your x, y, z coordinate. Then the georeferencing has to fit well in the projection system you use. Then create a tin from this shape file. Verify the coordinate once again.

Ciao
