Cross Section Rating Curve

I have a stream reach with several (40 or so) driveway culverts. Each culvert has a HY8 analysis done and I'm hoping to add cross sections at each culvert location with rating curves rather than modeling each culvert. When I add a HY8 rating curve to a cross section I still am required to enter cross section data, n-values, etc. Can I use a "dummy" section since HEC-RAS will read the rating curve or should I copy the upstream cross section into the culvert "section"?
