default line styles

Hi all,

I just ran across a problem in HEC-RAS 2.2 which might be more common outside the US (we have to translate the output!):

Printing multiple X-sections with various profiles, variables etc. is a nice feature before it comes to changing line styles. In the Lines and Symbols submenu there is a button for "Default Line Styles". But this does not really change anything persistently. As soon as the variables change (i.e. one of the X-sec has an ineff flow area while others dont), the legend text goes back to the program standard and my german translations are vanished.

Is there any way to change these legend text PERSISTENTLY, i.e. somewhere in a settings file?

all hints are appreciated,
thanks from Vienna, Austria

Re: default line styles

Seems you're right! However, HECRAS appears to only revert back to the default labels for interpolated sections. Therefore, depending on the size of your model, once you've created your geometry, done the interpolations and are ready to solve and produce the finished output plots, you could go through and use the rename option in the cross-section editor and remove the asterisk (*) from all the interpolated river station numbers hence tricking HECRAS into thinking the interpolated sections are actual input sections. This way you get the modified labels when you edit the defaults. Good luck.
