HECRAS 2.2 WITH PATCH

I am having trouble with window interference with each other. Is anyone else experiencing this? For example, new windows called up remain under the calling window, and they generally mess up each other to the point where one cannot get much work done. Maybe this is a Win98 problem, but I have not seen anyother software do this. Would appreciate any suggestions / comments.

Re: HECRAS 2.2 WITH PATCH

I do not think this is a HEC-RAS problem. I have had similar problems occasionally with other software where windows would not move to the background. I was having that problem in Windows 95. One of the pieces of software was the Compuserve access software. I have had similar trouble with XP-SWMM because the graphic interface is tying up to many resources. Usually I was able to get around the problem by minimizing windows.

I've not seen anything like the problem you describe. I'm running HEC-RAS 2.2 with the patch, but on Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 95.

Re: HECRAS 2.2 WITH PATCH

Ron,

Has been a little while since I used the program, but I thought it was buggy, also. I don't recall having a multiplying window problem, but did notice that when I edited geometry and saved the changes the notice at the top of the window continued to say that geometry is newer than ... (whatever it says). I also could not format the output for printing graphics on sheets/orientation different than the default 8 1/2 x 11. I had to cut and paste to other software to print to tabloid sheets.

I'm running the software in NT workstation 4, so maybe I get different issues.

More importantly, the WS elevations near constrictions (i.e., bridges, culverts, etc.) was higher than for past versions of the program.
