Print Setup

Hello to all-

I recently downloaded HEC-RAS 2.2 and the 2.2 patch from the COE's web site, and am running the software on my hard drive using WinNT 4.x. While trying to test printer and plotter output on various devices, I noticed some problems:

1) When I change my print device in the PRINT - SETUP dialog box, the change doesn't seem to "stick" when I click OK and close the SETUP box to return to the PRINT-OPTIONS box. All of our installed printers do appear in the Printer pull-down selection list. The only way I can change printers is to exit HEC-RAS, change my default printer in my Windows Print Settings, and then restart HEC-RAS.

2) The HELP button in the PRINT - OPTIONS dialog box doesn't provide any help when clicked, although it does "move".

I did not notice any mention of these problems in the "bug" lists on the COE's web site. Has anyone else had this problem, or know of a better solution?

Re: Print Setup

Chris,

I too had similar difficulties in printing. The fastest way I found in dealing with this was to just cut and paste graphical output to another program.

Re: Print Setup

I have also had print problems. The latest is maximum font size in print options. I will try the default printer specification. I agree, it is relatively easy to cut and paste to another software.
