Re: How to increase decimal places in HEC-1

The way I handle hydrographs with very small flows that I want to see the flow to less than nearest cfs is to write out the hydrograph to a DSS file using the ZW card. You can read this hydrograph using DSSUTL. The hydrograph is stored to the fourth decimal place.

How to increase decimal places in HEC-1

Hello;

I'd like to know if there is a simple way to increase the # of significant figures (after a decimal point), in a HEC-1 output. The problem is that the outflow hydrographs computed for small urban watersheds (~ 10-30 hectares) are rounded to the 1st significant figure,which is not good enough for my purpose. I usually multiply the drainage area by 1000,run the model and then divide the computed ordinates by 1000 !

Any suggestions is appreciated in advance.

Thanks a lot John, for your great reminder. I just tried the DSSUTL with success!
