How does HEC-RAS calculate Shear stress total??

Dear Everyone

I would like to know exactly how HEC-Ras calculate shear stresses (total, channel and banks) at each cross section I input.
I believe it uses Chezy's equation which is shear = g* Rh *Sf average. Is this right?

Thank you for answering my questions all the time.
I am indebted.

Yao-Hung,

The formula is correct. You may want to use the specific weight of water = 62.43 lb/ft3 = 9806 N/m3 instead of the gravitational acceleration (g) to get the answer in lb/ft2 or N/m2 (Pa).
