DAMBRK

I have installed both RMS and DAMBRK on a WinNT system. Each has your supplied hardware lock. RMS runs fine. I cannot get DAMBRK to run. When I enter DAMBRK at the command prompt, the program appears to start, however it "flashes by" on the screen so fast and returns to the command prompt, that I get no clue as to what is going on. Please advise what I might try doing to get it up and running.

Re: DAMBRK

Dear Ken:

Try plugging in only the DAMBRK hardware lock. I think that the DAMBRK hardware lock must be on placed on the parallel port first.

If you have any additional questions or need any further information, please contact me again.

Sincerely,

Re: DAMBRK

Chris:

With only the DAMDRK hardware lock plugged in to the parallel port (no printer cable, no RMS lock) I still cannot get it to run.

I found the download on you site for the hardware lock, bosslock.exe. I tried to download this to see if this was something different than what comes with your distribution CD. Our firewall will not allow *.exe files to download. If I need this, can you e-mail it to me and give it a dummy extension (bosslock.txt). I can then change the extension back to bosslock.exe .

Re: DAMBRK

Chris:

I am still having no luck getting DAMBRK up and running. I uninstalled, then re- installed DAMBRK, using the default directory (C:DAMBRK). I verified that I selected the proper hardware lock model, for the Sentinel System Driver installation, for the hardware lock.

I ran DAMBRK from the command prompt and re-directed the output to a file, to see if I could capture anything that is flashing up on the screen.

The only thing I captured was this (quotation marks added): "Security key not found."
Any suugestions ?

Ken
